Eye Opener

Working as a Nurse of the RN Heals Program of the Department of Health Batch 3 our deployment was about CHT or Community Health Team. Prior to our deployment we were trained for NHTS-PR (National Household Targeting System for Poverty Reduction) which is a program of our government focusing on our less fortunate kababayan.

*If you are also a nurse you might have heard from your PHC II class or on a Review Class on Community Health of the Millennium Development Goal and the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program or 4P's for short.

This program is basically centered towards the poor Filipino family and it involves a "cash grant" or in other term; a financial assistance to the poor. The poor family will receive money from the government but with terms and conditions apply.

And this is where we come in.

You can say that we are part of the team that aids in the implementation of NHTS-PR. We are responsible for the assessment of the poor through a house-house interview.

As a nurse we only act as a manager; validating the data collected by the BHW (Barangay Health Worker). So its the BHW who does the house to house visit. That is why they need to be trained for the program.

And that is how we end up here.

the CHT TRAINING for BHW! *tenen*

so from here onward I'd be narrating through the captions

Enough of my almost photodump post! My post is not really about discussing how the program works, It is about what I saw during the "house to house visit" practicum during our CHT training for the BHW (Barangay Health Worker).

And this was what I saw!

The whole experience has been such an eye opener for me. I feel so lucky!

Self Reward

I think I've work really hard this week so I decided to treat myself! And the best way to reward myself is to pig out! (not really "pig out-pig out" when you have super dame na food na you can't imagine to finish by yourself but something almost like that ^_^). So I ordered a burger from Wings on the Go! The best burger here in Angono (for me and my siblings)!  I ordered THE TERMINATOR!

A Two Pieces of Quarter Pound Burger Patties with Onion and Pickle Relish, Melted cheese, fresh lettuce and tomato slices! It is super delicious!

I was suppose to take a picture of my order but I finish it already before I remember that I needed to take a pic.!

If you are located in Angono, Rizal or any nearby areas you might want to check them out because they have this November Photo Contest that you can check here! Visit their Facebook Page to know more about them and their mouth watering products! I promise to post more about them on my future entry!

My too early Birthday/Christmas wishlist

It might be weird to some that I will be making my wishlist this early but I thought that posting this was the best way to remind me of the material things I want. Because I have this thing about sometimes forgetting the exact things that I really want. Like, whenever my father would ask me "ano gusto mo para sa birthday mo? (I often if not always as in every time I would be asked with "ano gusto mo?") I will reply "kahit ano" or "pera na lang". Fail answer! Because I always have something in mind that I want but they are so many that I forget to prioritize. I always end up not receiving the right gifts or no gifts at all because they have no idea  on what to give me. I also end up spending my birthday money on other things (example: eating out, treating my friends, buying random stuffs and etc.) which I also like but not the things that I really want and need to have. Specifically the material stuffs. So I feel that this will help me to focus more on my material ambitions!

Please don't think that I'm materialistic or something because I believe I am not. :p

I believe that I'm not one of those people na "sumusunod sa uso". Specially in gadgets  ^_^ because:

1) I don't have that much money to spend :p

2) I'm easily contented with stuffs. If they serve my needs then I'll be keeping them until I find another stuff that could better deliver my demands or If I have a new need that they could not serve. (No Iphone for me because I'm still with my old Nokia E63 that I cannot let go. I use this for texting, calling and since it is wi-fi ready I also use this to surf the net, check and make a status on my Facebook and Twitter. I also have Samsung Galaxy Y.)

3) I grew up believing that material stuffs don't last (You may want this now but few days, weeks, months or years you might want something else instead.) and that memories should always be made whenever you can (for example: Instead of buying a new pair of shoes, I would choose to treat my friends and have that picture worthy bonding moment that I could cherish for the rest of my life).

Well enough of my beliefs and preference! Although I still have a lot of reasons or to some it might be excuses but if I post it all in here this post would be a super DISCLAIMER and BORING so lets just end it with no. 3!  Besides this is about me posting my wishlist so here it goes.

First,

Nikon 24-70mm Zoomable Lens Mug

I would love to have coffee with this baby!

Second,

Holga Camera

Taking pictures will be such an experience with this. I'm looking forward to experimenting with its filters

Third,

Polariod Camera

Anything between this three (If I could, I would get them all) because I haven't decided yet. I will still have to check their reviews online before I choose.

Fujifilm Instax Mini 7S Polaroid Camera

Piano Black Fuji Instax Mini 50s Polaroid Camera

Who doesn't love polaroid? Aren't you in love with the instant print magic and all?? I want to own a polaroid since I was a child. I am always amuse with the magic of taking picture and having it printed instantly! poof!
I will never deny my love for cameras (in all type, style and form) I'm a very huge fan of the art of photography. Having any of this would make my every picture-taking moments a blast!

Fourth,

DELL Laptop (in white)

I need this laptop to do and save all my work stuff and etc.

So this is my wishlist for now :)
I might add more stuff later If I have thought of something or If find other stuff that I want!

Some of you might ask if why I put Birthday/Christmas wishlist.
It is because my birthday is near Christmas so I am used to getting gifts that is for Birthday and Christmas already (Kumbaga sa kape ee 2 in 1 na para nga naman makatipid daw sila). I know sometimes it sucks but at least I do receive gifts and its the thought that counts!!! :p

How about you? do you also have your Birthday near Christmas? or
Have you also thought of your wishlist already?
