Salute to the BHW's

As a community health nurse, you may be designated to the barangay health centers of a certain municipality. Sometimes it is included in your work to supervise the BHW (Barangay Health Workers). Pero sa sitwasyon na ito ay baliktad. I went with BHW's not to supervised them but to see them in action. One of their function is called "OPERATION TIMBANG" where in they go house to house visit to check the height and weight of children age 0-71 months old or below six years old to identify the presence of malnutrition in their area. Below are some of the photos of the BHW's in action.

It was not as easy as It may look like. Ang taas ng araw, sobrang init at talagang susuyurin mo ang bawat eskinita! para kumatok sa mga bahay bahay, magtipon ng mga bata, magtimbang at magsukat! wooh! and for that I salute them for their hard work in monitoring our community from malnutrition.

much love,
trizh
